Rare cases of liver damage are reported by patients taking Diflucan. If you notice any symptoms of liver damage, such as yellowing of the skin, and swollen or tender abdomen, make sure you contact or health care provider a soon as possible to make sure this problem is dealt with properly and timely. You will need to talk to your health care provider as soon as you experience swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue, yellowing of the skin or eyes, tightness in the chest, severe allergic reactions, diarrhea, scaly, red skin, difficulty breathing, and swollen or tender abdomen. These side effects are considered to be serious and are unlikely to go away on their own.
You will need to do something about them – and in some cases this means actually stopping the treatment. Diflucan can sometimes produce a few mild side effects – they are a lot more likely in fact. The following mild side effects are possible: nausea, stomach pain, changes in taste, dizziness, and headache. The mild side effects mentioned can of course vary in intensity in different people. You may get some of them or just one, although most people do not develop any side effects at all.
